Paul Edward Smelcer

Paul Edward Smelcer, 78 of Farmville, VA passed away on January 26, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents Hal and Myrtle Smelcer. He is survived by his wife Helen, son, Steve (Mary), one sister, Sue Amos and two nieces, Lisa Newcomb and Barbara Mcloughlin.

He was born in Dandridge, TN and Paul was employed at Fourth Street Motor Co. for 48 years. He loved to work in his yard, feed his birds and squirrels and loved his Chihuahua “Rambo”.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, at 2 p.m. in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service in the church fellowship hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside SPCA, PO Box 66, Meherrin, VA 23954.
