The Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office reported a suspected murder/suicide in the Dillwyn area Monday evening.

In a news release from the sheriff’s office Tuesday, the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 10:38 p.m. Monday of two gunshot victims at a residence on Taylors Park Lane in the Dillwyn area of Buckingham County.

“Deputies responded to the scene and confirmed two deceased individuals, a male Domicci Meaton Brown (age 24) and a female Ieishia Lynnett Green (age 25),” the release cited.

“Preliminary investigative findings found that both suffered from a single gunshot wound resulting in their deaths that appears to have been a murder/suicide,” the release cited. “Both were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond, Virginia, as per protocol.”

A representative from the Buckingham Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Wednesday that the medical examiner report could take between 1-2 months to be completed.
