Prince Edward County High School’s varsity girls basketball team experienced its first loss of the 2018-19 season Tuesday night when it fell 47-45 in overtime to host Amelia County High School. The Lady Eagles, now 12-1 overall, led by as many as 16 points during the game, but they let Amelia finish strong. “They played a great game in the fourth quarter,” Prince Edward Head Coach Carlton Redd said of the Lady Raiders, who outscored the Lady Eagles 17-5 in the fourth and 7-5 in overtime.
