The Serendipity Club was privileged to welcome Patrick Crute, grandson of club member Jane Crute and her late husband, J. David Crute, Farmville’s Mayor for 25 years and son of Patricia and David Crute. Patrick introduced the club to the importance of the inner workings of and the purpose of The Virginia Alliance of YMCAs, of which he currently serves as the executive director. Patrick is a graduate of Longwood University and Regent University, and proudly served as an infantryman in the Virginia National Guard.
