Buckingham County High School’s varsity girls basketball team began a stretch of three games in three days Wednesday by defeating host Nottoway High School 45-29. The win improved the Lady Knights to 8-2 overall, 7-1 in the district. Buckingham achieved the win over the Lady Cougars with key contributions from senior guard Jayda Chambers, pictured at right, and junior forward Amil Bolden. Chambers finished with 15 points, 18 rebounds, including nine offensive rebounds, five assists and three steals. Bolden added 14 points and 15 boards. The Lady Knights hosted Central Lunenburg High School on Thursday and visit Goochland High School on Friday at 7 p.m.
