Merry Christmas wishes

Cumberland County Landfill Awareness Committee welcomes all citizens of Cumberland County and surrounding counties to a community meeting concerning the proposed landfill to learn more and receive information about the stand against this issue. In respect of the Cumberland Christmas parade, the next meeting will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Community Center located at 45 south and Davenport Road. During this meeting we will be honoring and remembering the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday unless otherwise announced at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Court Room.

Danny and Arlene Figgins of Front Royal, visited Grace Hudgins and Mae Rutherford, both of Cumberland on Sunday Dec. 16.

Buckingham Baptist Church at located U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn at 24234 North James Madison Hwy., will be hosting Gospel Music at its best featuring The Buckingham Community Choir on Saturday, at 3 p.m. followed by refreshments in the church fellowship hall. All are welcome.

Cedar Baptist Church located U.S Route 15 North of Dillwyn at 3932 Bell Road Dillwyn will be hosting their annual Christmas Eve program on Monday at 6 p.m. Pastor Tommy Armstrong and the entire congregation welcome all to attend and wish each of you a very merry Christmas.

The Buckingham United Methodist Charge consisting of Browns, Haynes Chapel and Rocky Mount United Methodist Churches will be hosting Christmas Eve Services on Monday at 4 p.m. at Browns Chapel United Methodist Church located on U.S. Route North of Dillwyn on state route 617, Gravel Hill Road, Dillwyn. Pastor Rebecca Cook welcomes all to attend and wish each of you a merry Christmas.
