Sarah Graham Wells

Sarah Graham Wells, 87 of Laurel, MS passed away November 18, 2018 of natural causes.

Sarah was born Oct. 3, 1931 and was the daughter of Samuel L. and Natalie H. Graham. She was born and raised in Farmville, VA where her father served as the business manager of Longwood College. She was graduated from Longwood University in 1952 and began a long teaching career at age 21. She met and married a Navy pilot from Laurel, MD, John Wells, III. They were married for 50 years; he preceded her in death n 2003.

Sarah volunteered with the Junior Auxiliary, the Laurel Garden Club, supported ASPCA and the Animal Rescue league. She was a member of The Three Arts Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Sarah is survived by her son, John Wells, IV of Potomac Falls, VA, her daughter, Margaret Wells-Williams of Laurel, MS and her brother Louis Graham of Temple, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews. Her two brothers, S. Lyle Graham and Thomas H. Graham, predeceased her.

A memorial service was held in Laurel, MS on December 9, 2018. A private interment followed.
