Thomas I. Sayer, 61

NOVEMBER 18 — Thomas I. Sayer, 61, of Farmville, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014. He was born in Washington, DC on July 15, 1953 to the late Irving and Fontaine Knicely Sayer. He is married to the love of his life, Deborah Brinkley Sayer.

He worked at Brinkley Electric Company for many years and later worked for Centra Southside Community Hospital as the Supervisor of Maintenance.

Mr. Sayer is survived by his wife, Deborah; a daughter, Jessica S. Tibbs and her husband, Jason; grandchildren, Kayla, Ava and Reagan; godson, Jason K. Glenn; god-granddaughter, Vivian C. Glenn; siblings, James Sayer, Sharon Thurston, Rosie Sayer, Michelle Benson, Evelyn Benbatoul, and Michael Sayer; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and friends that became family, Tom and Pam Hazelwood and Ralph and Diane Hedrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gwennie Sayer and in-laws, Harry and Kitty Brinkley.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 16 at the funeral home.
