Wednesday forecast calls for snow

Snow is in the forecast for the area, set to begin early Wednesday, according to reports from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wakefield.
The NWS calls for a chance of snow or snow flurries beginning 1 a.m. Wednesday, with a chance of precipitation being 30 percent. Little or no snow accumulation is expected for that time. Going into later Wednesday morning, the NWS calls for a chance of rain and snow showers before 1 p.m., “then a slight chance of rain showers between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers after 4 p.m.”
The NWS calls for cloudy weather that will gradually become mostly sunny with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent with a new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Piedmont Senior Resources announced that the Friendship Cafe held Wednesday and located at Crossroad Senior Citizen Center,
2966 Sulphur Spring Road in Prospect, will be on a delay from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
