Cumberland Girl Scouts recently participated in a Sisters in Service project at Cumberland Elementary School to honor the memory of their Sister Scouts from Wisconsin Troop #3055, who were tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in early November. The girls from Cumberland Troops #5201, #130 and #567, are Junior and Senior level Scouts. The Sunshine Service Unit would like to challenge other area Girl Scouts and service organizations to hold a day of Community Service in memory of the Wisconsin Girl Scouts of Troop #3055 who were lost and in honor of the surviving members of their troop who will continue to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts pictured are, from left, Penny Dorsey, Samantha Tillett, Denise Mullins, Elizabeth Joplin and Peyton Turner.
