Mary Elizabeth O'Bryant Pipjunge, 82

CUMBERLAND, October 30 — Mary Elizabeth O’Bryant Pipjunge, 82, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was born in Buckingham to the late John Thomas and Evelyn Walker O’Bryant on July 18, 1932. She grew up in Buckingham and in 1956 married Gaylord Pipjunge.

Mrs. Pipjunge worked at Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation but spent the last 19 years cooking for the children at Cumberland School Cafeteria. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved to cook for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Gaylord Pipjunge; a son, Kenneth Pipjunge and his wife, Jennifer of Richmond; two grandchildren, Melissa and Wesley Pipjunge; a brother, John O’Bryant of IA; and two sisters, Frances Leatherwood of Farmville and Barbara Gorgus of Buckingham.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 2 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home.
