Historical Society to meet

We have now entered the 11th month of 2018, where has 2018 gone?
Remember to set your clocks back one hour when you go to bed on Saturday night, in other words you will gain a hour of sleep on Sunday morning. Thank goodness daylight saving time will be gone for a while.
Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church will hold their Annual Christmas Craft Show on Friday, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at their parish center located at 700 Buffalo St., Farmville. Hand crafted soaps, gift bags, baked goods, and numerous crafts will be available along with a luncheon menu.
Prospect Historical Society will meet on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the “old post office.”
Last Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith hosted the Faith Bible Fellowship Small Group covered dish dinner at their home. Attending were Hilde Watson, Mr. and Mrs. John Utzinger and Mr. and Mrs. Richard McClintock.
On the afternoon of Sunday Oct. 18 Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith drove to Keysville to visit their son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Dianna Smith. They also got to see their great granddaughters, Natalie and Abrigail.
Flora Bolt accompanied Steve Bolt and Sharon Canterbury to the rehearsal dinner for her grandson, Chris Bolt and his bride to be Alexa Moser, on Friday night held at Charley’s Waterfront Café.
On Saturday Oct. 27 Flora Bolt, Steve Bolt, Sharon Canterbury and John Wallace Woodson attended the wedding and reception of Chris Bolt and Alexa Moser. The wedding was held at The Barn, Timber Creek.
Sunday, following the morning Worship service the members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle will enjoy lunch and delicious stew made by stew masters Steve Bolt and William McGuire. Remember those in our community and those we know that are sick or shut-in at this time in our prayers and thoughts. Those I know about are Carl Kelsey, Lon Stockton, Jr., Flora Bolt, Phyllis Fulcher and Betty Jean Bolt.
Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle welcome you to worship with them each Sunday. The Rev. Lewis Brandt will be with them this Sunday.
The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect welcomes you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with Worship at 11 a.m.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville welcomes you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and each week on Wednesday for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. The Church is located at 302 Industrial Park Road, in the former Stackpole-Carbone building.
The Remnant Church welcomes you to worship with them on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. The pastor is Jeff Spencer. The church is located at 1825 E. Third St., Farmville in the old Cedar Brook Restaurant building.
Concord Baptist Church at 12053 Francisco Road, Farmville welcomes you to their Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Worship service at 11 a.m.
