Edgar Witt East, Jr.

JULY 20 – Edgar Witt East, Jr., of Farmville, died Friday, July 16, 2004.

He was born February 6, 1921 in Virginia, a son of the late Edgar Witt, Sr. and Mildred Wright East.

Mr. East was a United States Army Veteran and a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annie Barr East; a brother, Cecil E. East and wife, Peggy of Farmvllle; two grandchildren, Kathy Robertson of Roanoke and Delores Amos of Bedford; six great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a special niece, Diane Jenklns and family.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmvllle, with interment in Westvlew Cemetery.
