On Sept. 20, from noon until 6 p.m.; Main Street in Pamplin will be alive with activities as folks from all around the region come out to enjoy the pleasures of small town life.
Live music will be featured on Main Street all day long with local talent:
Noon – 1 p.m. – Rebecca Bryant the Singing Cowgirl; 1-2 p.m. – Petr Liska; 2-2:15 p.m. – Tom Mix Rangers Shoot Out; 2:30-3:30 p.m. – Ken Swanson; 3:30-4 p.m. – Farm Use String Band; 4-4:15 p.m. – Tom Mix Rangers Shoot Out; 4:15-5 p.m. – Shaky Grass Band; 5-6 p.m. – Last Chance Garage Band in the Freight Room.
In addition, there will be vendors lining the street offering bounce houses for kids of all ages including a 75 foot obstacle course, arts and crafts, food, raffles, a White Elephant, and an Art Car Booth where people are encouraged to indulge their inner graffiti artist. It’s a family friendly event for all ages, with DeVault Vineyard on hand with wine, along with the Ruritans selling popcorn and the Mason’s offering their Kids ID program. The Hyco Kid, a Pamplin native will be on hand with giveaways for the kids and books for the adults-he’ll be in the booth when he’s not busy with the rest of the Tom Mix Rangers trying to keep the bad guys from shooting up the town.
Earthen Paradise Gem Shop, a new face on the Appomattox business scene will offer an array of gems and stones. Cozy Cabin Outdoor Photography and Furniture will be there as will Sarah Hamlett offering Premier Jewelry.
Sponsors of this event include Taylor’s Septic and Pure Earth Recycling; many volunteers will also help with the event from start to finish.
Celebrate Pamplin! is a great chance for folks to come out, meet their neighbors, discover new businesses and support the local economy while enjoying a day of free live music.
