A good number of friends and families spent a mild Saturday evening at the Five County Fair in Farmville. The fair opened Tuesday, Sept. 25, and was beset by rain and thunderstorms for the first part of the week. Young and old alike enjoyed all of the staples of a fantastic fair: a petting zoo with farm animals, art and produce contests, rides and fair games, even a wrestling match later in the evening.
