LCVA CABIN FILM SERIES, 7 p.m. returns with the screening of the 1979 film, “The Amityville Horror.” The event, which will be hosted at the Longwood Cabin, is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

ANNUAL SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Ca Ira. This is the 175th anniversary of the church. The Rev. Martha Jenkins and the Rev. James D. Smith will conduct the service. The church has been designated as a state and national landmark and the restoration and preservation is ongoing as contributions permit. Lunch on the grounds so bring a dish to share, a chair if you wish and join us for this celebration.

137^TH CHURCH ANNIVERSARY/FALL REVIVAL, 11 a.m. worship with Pastor Donnie W. Brown at New Hope Baptist, 1909 Cartersville Road, New Canton. Lunch to follow. Afternoon anniversary celebration at 3 p.m. Theme is “We’re Still Standing United.” The Rev. Calvin Booker, pastor of the Slate River Baptist Church will be the guest minister accompanied by his choir and ushers. Revival services will be held Oct. 8-10. Theme is: “Committed to Encouraging; Christian Commitment in Today’s World.” There will be a different guest minister each evening.

MAYSVILLE FALL FESTIVAL, 5 p.m. at the Maxey Farm, 93 Village Lane, Buckingham Courthouse. Carnival games, a bounce house and treat bags for every child in attendance. There will also be a homestyle meal served, popcorn, cotton candy, hayrides, live music by Seeing Deep, corn hole and much more. This is a free event.
