Shirley Ann ‘Sheppard’ Goodman, age 83, of Amelia, passed from this life on August 1, 2018.  Shirley was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Amelia.   She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59

years Coleman Guthrie Goodman, her sister; Margaret Virginia Sheppard Farney, her mother, Ruth Virginia Berry Sheppard, and her father, Emmett Milton Sheppard, and is survived by her two daughters, Jane Kellam and her husband, Garnett of Mappsville, VA  and Martha Hathcock and her husband Charlie of Kitty Hawk, N. C. ; two granddaughters, Rachel Kellam and Hannah Kloch and husband Andy; and sister-in-law, Caroline Warren of Richmond; as well as loving nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. 

The family received friends at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home on Saturday August 4. The funeral service was held at Trinity United Methodist Church at 4 p.m.  on Sunday August 5. Interment was private.
