RICE, July 3 — John Lee Murray, 84, of Rice, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. He was born on November 5, 1929 to the late Samuel T. and Fannie Deaton Murray. He served his country in the US Air Force and came home to be a farmer. He was married to the late Della B. Murray.

Mr. Murray is survived by his brother, James T. Murray from Pamplin and his uncle, Clyde Deaton. He was cared for by Riley and Blondell Bowman of Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Mary Bell Beasley and brother, Ben Murray.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 3 (today) at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
