Willie Lewis ‘Boo’ Branch Jr.

Willie Lewis “Boo” Branch Jr. 88, of Wingina, died July 15, 2018. He was born September 30, 1929 in Buckingham County, a son of the late Willie Lewis and Annie Taylor Branch. He was retired as a machine operator for Westvaco. He was a member of Maple Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved to hunt and raised a garden large enough to feed the whole family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Bryant Branch; seven children, Roger L. Branch, Joan Elaine Jamerson (Butch), Barry L. Ragland (Beverly), Patricia B. Wharam (Dewey), Kevin Branch (Joanne), Linda L. Davis (James) and Bryan W. Branch (Darlene); ten grandchildren, Kim Ragland (Chris) Jonathan Ragland (Cindy), Brandy Bryant (Chris), Ashley Davis, Tiffany Wharam (PeeWee), Ryan Wharam (Karah), Kristi Williams, Amber Craft (Josh), Chelsea Seay (Adrian), and Casey Carter (Brandon); 21 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Wiseman, Becky Gibson (Phil), Nanny Mae Moyer, Cathleen Cash (Herbert); two brothers, James Branch (Jean) and John Branch (Gail).

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven L. Branch; three sisters, Leslie Ragland, Christine Branch and Brenda Ragland and brother, George Branch.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Maple Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family received friends on Monday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
