Holliday Lake State Park will take part in the Great American Backyard Campout June 28-29. If you’ve always wanted to take the family camping but weren’t sure where to start, here’s the chance to learn.

Get help setting up a tent, go hiking, make a nature craft, and just have fun outdoors.

The cost is $30 per family and includes the campsite, all activities and food for supper Saturday and breakfast Sunday. This program begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28, and concludes at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 29.

Advance registration is required and space is limited. Call 434-248-6308 or email the park office at hollidaylake@dcr.virginia.gov for additional information or to sign up. Ask us about borrowing one of the park tents if you don’t have your own; a limited number are available.
