Foster Rudolph Hawkins

Foster Rudolph Hawkins age 90 of Farmville, VA passed away on June 25, 2018. He was born on February 27, 1928 to the late Foster R. and Audie Campbell Hawkins. He was a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church and served as a deacon and usher. He was a member of the Mason’s and worked diligently serving Meals on Wheels. He co-founded Madeline’s House and spent many hours working for his community. He will be remembered as a good family man, good husband and father who was “crazy” about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Bernice S. Hawkins, daughter Candice H. Wingfield of Farmville, sisters Janice Layman, Audrey James, 4 grandchildren; Foster Neal Collins, Christopher James Collins, Jessica Nichole Wingfield Dedmond, Allison Blair Kennon, great grandchildren; Bristol Leigh Dedmond, Mikileigh Robertson and Emily Kennon.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Daphne Lynn Hawkins Agee and a sister Glenda Prasse.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. in Heritage Baptist Church. Family will receive friends two hours prior to service starting at 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be private.
