Happy Birthday wishes go out to Nat Cooke, of Cartersville, celebrating on Saturday, May 31; Mildred Ragland, of Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Dillwyn, celebrating on Monday, June 2; Cathy Trammel, of Farmville, celebrating on Tuesday, June 3, and Chuck Fairchild, of New Canton, celebrating on Wednesday, June 4.

Dot Brown, of Richmond, visited in the home of her sister, Ann Carter, in Dillwyn last week.

Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, Aileen Snoddy, of Arvonia, and Sandra Ownby, of Dillwyn, enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant on Thursday, May 22, and then visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Dowdy in Cumberland. All enjoyed the fellowship.

Visiting in the home of Elizabeth Stone of Dillwyn last week for a few days was her daughter, Linda Seay, of Richmond.

A cookout was held at the home of Tommy Joe (T.J.) and Stephanie Waycaster and their two sons, Blake and Jacksyn, on Sunday afternoon, May 24. All enjoyed the food and fellowship.

Kevin and Rene Marion, of Cumberland, visited in the home of James and Virginia Boyles on Sunday evening, May 25.

Jamming On The James is sponsoring summer concert series at Dorrier Park in partnership with the Town of Scottsville, Scottsville Chamber of Commerce and Scottsville for The Center Of Arts In Nature, is hosting their first of four concerts on Sunday, June 1 from 5-8 p.m. The opening act will feature The Victory Hall Jammers of Scottsville and the main act “Red and The Romantic.” There will be no admission charge. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 2 at 5 p.m. at Welcome Wesleyan Church, located at U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia. All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish. The June program will follow with special guest speaker Rev. Billy Swan of Dillwyn.
