The kickoff to the 21st season of the Stars Under the Stars program drew a crowd to Crute Stage in historic downtown Farmville June 8 for a showing of the classic film “The Sting.”

In addition to spending a couple of hours with Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Robert Shaw, those in attendance also had the opportunity to participate in a trivia contest and a drawing to win prizes. Popcorn, candy and drinks were available for purchase to help complete the moviegoing experience.
The 21st season continues at dusk July 13 with the showing of “101 Dalmatians” and concludes Aug. 10 with the showing of “Tombstone.”
