MAY 15 — Myron Winslow Phelps, 78, of Farmville, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014. He was born in Norfolk on March 15, 1936 to the late Paul J. and Virginia Sawyer Phelps.

He worked construction, building houses in the Farmville area, before forming Phelps Locksmith Service in 1988.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline G. Phelps; two sons, Paul Phelps of Buckingham, and Myron Phelps Jr. and wife, Sherry of Amelia and two grandchildren, Rebecca and Abby Phelps of Buckingham.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
