Minnie Elizabeth Yeatts, 95

WILLIAMSBURG, April 29 — Minnie Elizabeth Yeatts, 95, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Consulate Health Care in Williamsburg. She was born in Chatham, the daughter of the late Ford and Mary Oakes. She resided most of her life in Newport News. Mrs. Yeatts was the wife of Walter Cole Yeatts.

She enjoyed gardening and was a very talented crafter. She was kind and had a generous soul. She loved the Lord.

Her memory is left to be cherished by a beloved son, Ronald David Yeatts (Billy) and his wife, Sheila of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Melissa R.Y. Harbour and her husband, Norman, Abigail Y. Matschke, David Cole Yeatts and his wife, Sheri; and three great-grandchildren, Brett Taylor, Ryan Elizabeth Matschke, and Perry Elizabeth Yeatts. She was preceded in death by nine of her siblings.

A graveside service was held in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Farmville, on Monday, April 28 at 1 p.m.
