APRIL 24 — Doris B. Baldwin, 88, of Farmville, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014.

She was a manager bookkeeper for over 40 years for two Farmville businesses. She loved flowers and was a member of the Garden Club. She played bridge, volunteered at Southside Community Hospital, was a member of the Farmville United Methodist Church women’s group and a member of the church.

Mrs. Baldwin is survived by a son, Kirk Baldwin and his wife, Peg of Virginia Beach; grandson, Hunter Baldwin and his wife, Cassie of Decatur, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace F. Baldwin.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25 at 2 p.m. in the Farmville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Shorter Funeral Home.
