Honoring Eagles debate, forensics teams

At its Tuesday meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors recognized the accomplishments of the Prince Edward County High School (PECHS) debate and forensics teams. The forensics team competed in Virginia High School League (VHSL) regional competition at Goochland High School and placed fourth. Then the squad advanced to the super regionals at R.E. Lee High School. The debate team traveled to Hidden Valley High School for regionals and placed second out of 14 teams from VHSL groups 1, 2, 3 and 4. Four team members also competed in the Student Congress.
