Prince Edward County High School’s varsity baseball team and other spring squads in the Heart of Virginia will be quite busy in the weeks ahead as they make up for lost time brought about by inclement weather. Senior pitcher Corbett Bowman, pictured at left, the rest of the Eagles (6-3) were set to visit Randolph-Henry High School on Thursday for a 7 p.m. game and then take a few days off before beginning a four-game week next week. Prince Edward hosts Altavista Combined School on Monday for a doubleheader that is slated to begin at 5 p.m. The Eagles return to action Thursday, May 3, when they host Amelia County High School at 5 p.m., and they close out the week Friday, May 4, by visiting Bluestone High School at 5 p.m. Prince Edward will look to improve on its 6-2 district record against the Raiders and Barons.
