A big shoutout to the Prince Edward County High School Chemistry Olympiad team. These students are to be commended for their commitment to their education. They voluntarily met on multiple Saturdays in February and March to practice and prepare for the Olympiad test. The team members came together Saturday, March 24, to take the Chemistry Olympiad exam. The Chemistry Olympiad is a national competition with the first step being the local exam sponsored by the Virginia Section of the American Chemical Society. While the results from the competition will not be known until late May, Prince Edward County High School has won five awards in the past three years and has hopes of continuing this trend.
