The Cartersville Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1667 Cartersville Rd., Cartersville, will hold a Sock Hop Saturday, March 22, 7-11 p.m. with disc jockey Bill Bruce and rock and roll music of 50s and 60s featuring Chuck Berry, Little Ritchie, Elvis Presley, Chubby Checker and many more.

Prizes will be given for the best male and female 50s costume (judging at 8 p.m.); Jitterbug Contest is at 8:30 p.m.; Tiwst Contest is at 9:30 p.m.

Admission is couple – $9; single $7; children under 17 – $3. A Malt Shop featuring hot dogs, barbeque, popcorn, chips, coke and the famous “root beer float” along with other items will be for sale. Call Ann Catlett at 804-314-0966 to reserve a spot.
