NEW CANTON, March 6 — Rosemary Stout (Aunty Rose), 88, born July 2, 1925 in Stone, Kentucky at the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage to P.E. Stout and Elsie F. Brown, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her residence in New Canton.

She lived in numerous counties in West Virginia. While living in Aberdeen, Maryland, she participated in Special Olympics for a number of years and won many awards.

Ms. Stout is survived by a brother, Edward Joseph Stout of Lewisburg, West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Welcome Wesleyan Church, New Canton, on Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date in West Virginia.

Donations in her memory may be made to Special Olympics, Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
