Dot Brown, of Richmond, and Bradley Carter, of North Carolina, spent a few days with their sister, Ann Carter, in Dillwyn last week.

Cedar Baptist Church, located just off of U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn on State Route 650 (Trents Mill Rd.), hosts a Men’s Promise Keepers Prayers Breakfast Sunday mornings (excluding fifth Sundays) from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Buckingham Baptist Church in Gold Hill hosts a fellowship meal and Bible study Wednesday evenings. Supper is served from 5:15-6:15 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. All are invited to enjoy a complete meal for $3 per person (ages three years and under are free). This is a maximum cost of $12 per family.

Following this, there will be Bible Study. Pastor Doug Adams and the congregation cordially invitee all to attend.

Buckingham Baptist Church of Gold Hill hosts marriage counseling classes on Sunday evenings at 5 p.m., “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted” class. Pastor Doug Adams is the instructor.

Spreading God’s Gift Inc. of Buckingham is a non-profit local organization that extends help to individuals and families in their hour of need. All are invited to come and learn how to help by attending regular monthly meetings. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 4 at 8 p.m. at Browns Chapel United Methodist Church on Gravel Hill Road. All board members and interested persons are asked to attend.
