The Heritage Garden Club met on Feb. 20 at the home of Stephanie Buchert. President Dianne Stubbins presided over the business meeting. The guest speaker, pictured here, was Al Lookofsky, a Master Naturalist. He gave a talk on plant fibers and their traditional uses and how they are used today. Al demonstrated making a rope by using a yucca leaf. Co-hostess Melinda Fowlkes and Buchert served refreshments. At the March meeting, the guest speaker will be Dr. Alec Hosterman from Longwood and will present a program on garden photography.
