The Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association Instructional All-Star basketball team won the recent 2018 James River Youth Sports Association Instructional All-Star Tournament. The event was hosted by the Cumberland Recreation Department on Feb. 23 and 24. Players participating were 6 and 7 years old. The PEFYA team went undefeated in tournament play, recording a 24-3 win over Scottsville, a 23-14 win over Cumberland and a 22-16 victory over Amelia in the championship game.
