Monroe ‘Money’ Chambers

Monroe “Money” Chambers was born Oct. 14, 1950. He was the son of Alimond Odell Chambers and the late Spencer Lee Chambers, of Appomattox, Virginia. He died at his Prospect, VA residence on Feb. 16, 2018.

He married Lucille Cardwell on April 18, 1987, and they had one son together, Daryl. Once you met him you would never forget him. He loved to make people laugh and loved to dress. He loved his family, especially his wife of 30 years.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Towana. He is survived by: his loving devoted wife, Lucille; two sons, Tyron and Daryl; grandchildren, Christian, TyVon, Daryl, Jr. Lamonie, DaMarius; his mother, A. Odell Chambers; sister, Viola Shaw (Clint); five brothers, Eugene, Oliver, Lorenzo (Del), Harry, and Milton (Frances); sisters-in- law, Virginia (David), Sally, and Lovelene; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Ruby) and Johnnie Cardwell; aunts, Ealdon Walker, Bernice Bailey, Jenny B. Chambers, Pearl W. Chambers; uncles, Saint Chambers (Pearl), Abraham Chambers (Cindy); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
