The regular monthly meeting of the Cumberland County Board of Supervisors is held each second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Circuit Court Room unless otherwise announced.
Happy birthday wishes are sent out this week to the following people. Russel Green, of Dillwyn, on Sunday, and Nellie Moss, of Dillwyn, and Jonnie Gadwell, of New Jersey, both on Tuesday.
A speedy recovery is sent out this week to all those sick and shut in everyone.
The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association a non profit organization will be hosting its regular monthly meeting on Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church located 4898 Bridgeport Road, Arvonia. All members are asked to bring a covered dish for the meal.

The Appomatox Athletic Booster Club proudly presents Bluegrass/ Bluegrass Gospel featuring “Lonesome River Band” on March 11 at 2 p.m. at the Appomattox County High School 198 Evergreen Ave. Tickets in advance for adults will be $20, at the door tickets for adults will be $25. Children 6-12 will be $10 and children 5 and under will be free.

Victory Baptist Church Spout Springs will be hosting supper and the Christian version of the Newlywed Game on Saturday evening at the Woodman of the World building located at 365 Harold St. in Appomattox. Supper will be held at 5 p.m. followed by the Newlywed Game. Victory Baptist Church Pastor Jeff Worley and the entire congregation cordially invites all to attend. Appomattox Special Olympics proudly presents the 43rd annual Inspirations from Bryson City, North Carolina in concert on Saturday evening March 17 at 7 p.m. in the Appomattox County Auditorium located at 198 Evergreen Ave. Tickets in advance are $12 and $14 at the door.
