Eagles Crush R-H, 77-33

FARMVILLE — The Prince Edward County High School varsity boys basketball team rolled past the Randolph-Henry Statesmen on Tuesday, January 14 with a 77-33 final score.
The Eagles ran a fast-paced game and out-scored R-H during every quarter. PECHS led the game 10-6 after the first quarter and rallied for another 21 points in the second quarter of the game. R-H could only manage four points during the second quarter and couldn't stop the Eagles from scoring two field goals and a three-pointer in the last 10 seconds of the first half. Prince Edward crushed the Statesmen by scoring 48 points in the second half of the game, while R-H scored only 23.
PECHS was led offensively by Vilontae Eanes with 19 points. Cleon Watkins and Dabney Malik scored 11 points each. Teequan Banks contributed with eight points. Defensively, the Eagles were led by Watkins with seven rebounds and a steal. Banks followed suit with six rebounds and a steal as well. Malik and Amonte Vaughan had four rebounds each and 10 steals together (Malik with two and Vaughan with eight).
