FEMA training session set

PRINCE EDWARD — Farmville and Prince Edward County are a training site for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) upcoming “Building Whole Community Engagement,” training course, to be offered Wednesday, April 18 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the South Street Conference Center 124 S. South St., Farmville.
“This training opportunity will cover a number of topics to assist local governments, LEPCs and first responder agencies with reducing community risk from fixed and mobile hazardous materials and enhancing community preparedness,” officials said in the release. “The class size is limited to 30.”

“After that date, registration is still available locally; however, the class will be opened up statewide,” officials said in the release.
