The Nora Lancaster Garden Club held its annual Christmas luncheon at Charley’s Waterfront Cafe. We celebrated this time to connect with friends in a different way. Jane Clark blessed our food with a special prayer for those less fortunate. The gift swap always holds excitement and this year, one of the gifts was a book written by Carolyn Wells, illustrated by Deborah McClintock titled, “Somewhere, Not Nowhere.” “We were able to hear from Dr. Carolyn Wells, the details of how her book came to fruition- a story about a beloved pet for children and adults,” officials said in a press release. “The hostesses Dr. Barbara Smith, Jane Clark, Lazelle Jackson and Frances Pairet orchestrated this spectacular event and honored our co-presidents, Rebecca Kelly and Judy O’Steen with pointsettias for all their hard work during the year.” Pictured are, from left, Barbara Smith, Frances Pairet, Frankie Sandford, Linda Rofe and Bonnie Ramsey.
