RICHMOND — Chief Justice Donald W. Lemons announced today that the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Court of Appeals of Virginia are offering a subscription service that allows interested parties to subscribe to emails or text messages notifying them of certain court events.

“For example, subscribers can choose to be notified when either court issues new opinions, posts oral argument recordings, posts argument schedules or issues court calendars,” officials cited in the release. “In addition, subscribers can choose to be notified when the Supreme Court issues rule changes and press releases.”

The subscription process can be accessed on Virginia’s Judicial System website home page, www.courts.state.va.us. The free service is available now.
