Brush fire burns car

A brush fire at 2413 Pin Oak Road burned up a quarter acre of land and an older vehicle, which may not have run, Tuesday afternoon, according to Prospect Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief Al Mason. Mason said the Pamplin Volunteer Fire Department, Darlington Heights Volunteer Fire Department and the Virginia Department of Forestry also responded following Prospect receiving the call at 4:51 p.m. He said crews were on scene for approximately two hours.
