Wishing each of you a very Merry Christmas, as we are celebrating Christmas let us all remember the reason for the season. Let us keep the Christmas season in our heart and lives all year long.
Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church members will host its annual Christmas Eve candlelight service Sunday at 7 p.m. Davis Memorial is located in Prospect on the corner of U.S. Route 460 and Prospect Road. The members welcome each of you to this service.
Vin and Betsy Faracis held their 13th annual Christmas Open House on Dec. 15. There was lots of fellowship and delicious food all of this really put you in the Christmas spirit. Richard and Margaret Stockton, George and Shirley Moore along with lots of other friends enjoyed the hospitality.
On Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith attended their family’s Christmas gathering hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Dianna and their children, Christina, Charles Jr. and Brianna, Josh and Natalie at their home in Keysville. Also joining them were the Smith’s daughter, Mrs. Emma Sharpe and her son, Jeffrey from Hopewell.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Meadows along with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton attended the Christmas Concert by the Heart of Virginia Community Band at Jarman Auditorium on the campus of Longwood University on Dec. 11. The band played a variety of Christmas music. A most enjoyable evening was had by all those present.
Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for: Jeannette Tarlton, William “Bill” Whitter, Frances Southall, Randy Martin and Betty Jean Bolt.
The members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invite you to worship with them each Sunday.
The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with Worship at 11 a.m.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m.. The Church is located at 302 Industrial Park Road, in the former Stackpole-Carbone building.
The Remnant Church invites you to worship with them on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. The pastor is Jeff Spencer. The church is located at 1825 E. Third St. Farmville in the old Cedar Brook Restaurant building.
