A scheduled power outage is set to take place late tonight, Nov. 17 until early morning Nov. 18.
According to a notice from the Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC), the substation in Cartersville was transferred to a temporary power source in August in order for Dominion Energy to perform upgrades to the facility. The upgrades have neared completion, according to the notice.
Residents in the Cartersville area may experience power outages between 11:45 p.m. Nov. 17 to 2:45 a.m. Nov. 18, according to the notice, as the Cartersville substation will transfer to a reliable transmission line from its temporary source.
Residents can contact CVEC with questions at (800) 367-2832 or www.mycvec.com.
