Tree-planting tradition celebrated

Fuqua School’s Class of 2024 celebrated their “move up the hill” by planting a tree near the middle school. This tree-planting tradition, started seven years ago by the Class of 2018, is an important aspect of the transition to life on the middle/upper school campus. Trees symbolize new beginnings and accomplishments, and the sixth-grade trees also have added beauty, shade and remembrance to Fuqua’s campus. Mrs. Rhew told the class, “Much like these roots support this tree, we are all here to support you developing your boundless individual potential.” Pictured is Madelyn Baldwin, of Farmville, helping plant a Little Gem Magnolia honoring the Fuqua School Class of 2024.
