‘Lord of Flies’ premieres tonight

Hampden-Sydney College’s (H-SC) Fine Arts Department is presenting Lord of the Flies Nov. 2-3 at 8 p.m. According to a press release, H-SC’s Fine Arts Department presents “Lord of the Flies,” Nigel Williams’ adaptation of William Golding’s novel about a group of boys marooned on an isolated island and their descent into savagery. It is directed by Elizabeth Parks, and it is free and open to the public. The production will be held in Johns Auditorium. Parking is available along Via Sacra.
The release cited the production contains adult themes, language and some violence. The production uses lighting and atmospheric effects that may affect people with pre-existing medical conditions.
