The Farmville-Prince Edward Historical Society will meet Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.at Longwood University’s Greenwood Library Reading Room 209. “Genealogy Research in Virginia” is the topic of the speaker, Katie Derby, a professional genealogist. There will be a short presentation by Benedict Chatelain, a Greenwood library archival associate, on how to preserve family photographs. Refreshments will be provided. This meeting is free and open to the public.
