MANNING THE FORTS AT HIGH BRIDGE, where you and your family can experience what it was like to be a member of the old men and boys Home Guard unit that defended High Bridge during the U.S. Civil War. Visitors can access all programs at Camp Paradise, 1466 Camp Paradise Road, Rice.

18TH PASTOR ANNIVERSARY, 11 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church for the Rev. Robert R. Jones. Tanya Blanton and Steve Hurt present the word in song with the church choir. At 3 p.m., the Rev. Kevin Caleb, pastor of Thessalonian Baptist Church, accompanied by his choir, will render the service. Worship led by the Rev. Wyatt Vaughan, pastor of Antioch Baptist. Dinner will be served. 45TH HISTORIC APPOMATTOX RAILROAD FESTIVAL, 9 a.m. The two-day event commemorates the Norfolk and Western Railroad donation of the Appomattox Depot to the Town of Appomattox in 1973. Many festival events.
