PEFYA Minors All-Star Team

The Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association (PEFYA) Minors All-Star Team was honored at the Farmville Town Council meeting Sept. 13 with medallions, certificates and cake for its outstanding performance and participation representing Farmville in the 2017 Dixie Youth Baseball AAA Minor League World Series in Oxford, Alabama. The team finished the summer with a 10-3 record. It went 5-0 in its district tournament, and then it went 5-1 in the state tourney, making history by becoming the inaugural PEFYA Minors team to win a state championship and advance to the World Series.
