Thanks to Linda and Becky for sponsoring the Fellowship Gospel Sing at their home featuring Smokey Wilson and Mark Bishop. A meal was served before the outside musical program. Between 300 and 400 people were present. Everyone received a blessing from the fellowship and food.

Sean Stockton and his grandmother, Margaret Stockton, had a good time giving out roses Sept. 13 for Good Neighbor Day. The roses were from Rochette’s Florist.

On Sept. 13, Mrs. Flora Bolt attended the United Daughters of the Confederacy Farmville Chapter 45 meeting at the Farmville Train Station. During the meeting new officers were installed.

Mrs. Flora Bolt attended a memorial service for her cousin, Johnny Southall, on Sept. 11.

Margaret Stockton had a nice visit with her cousin Thomas “Buster” Swoap, of Bowling Green, on Tuesday by way of a telephone call.

Richard and Margaret Stockton enjoyed dining with Don and Betty Meadows at Merk’s Place on Thursday night.

Mrs. Jennifer Jones and Mrs. Flora Bolt enjoyed lunch at Applebee’s on Sept. 17. The occasion was to celebrate Jennifer’s grandmother, Flora Bolt’s birthday, which was Sept. 18.

Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Lucille Dowdy and B.B. Thompson on Sunday afternoon at Brookview.

Mr. and Mrs. George Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Don Meadows along with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton, got together for dinner at Merk’s Place last Friday evening.

Last Thursday, Mrs. Pat Smith met her college roommate, Mrs. Carolyn Boyd, for lunch in Appomattox.

On Saturday, Mrs. Pat Smith and her son, Mr. Charles Smith and his children, Charles Jr., Christina and Brianna and her infant daughter, Natalie Pearl Guill, all traveled to Unionville to visit Pat’s father, Mr. John Keaveny. Mr. Keaveny was thrilled to meet his great-great granddaughter, which means there are now five generations in his family.
