Holsopple named center director

FARMVILLE — The Pregnancy Support Center of Southside Virginia has announced Kathleen Holsopple as its new executive director.
According to a press release, Holsopple is from Northern Vermont and has more than 13 years of leadership experience as the executive director of a statewide nonprofit organization, the Vermont Federation of Families.
“(Holsopple) has worked with families providing family support for over 20 years,” officials said in the release. “Many of the families she has helped are families of children with disabilities/challenges or those in complex situations.”
Holsopple, her husband, Dennis, and son, Josh, reside in Prospect.
The Pregnancy Support Center is located at 201 Main St. in Farmville and serves women, men, infants and children from nine counties, providing information, referral, pregnancy tests, parenting classes and material supports — all free of charge.
